Probe Group Management

Probe refers to independent clients distributed in various cities and is the basic unit for completing monitoring tasks. Probe Group refers to multiple monitoring clients that meet the specified conditions. Probe Group is used for monitoring task scheduling in the system. Monitoring Probe Group must be specified when a monitoring task is created, so that the scheduler can identify which Probe monitors the monitoring task.

Create new Probe Group

1. Click Synthetic Tasks in the upper menu bar, then select Probe Group Management on the left to enter the Probe Group management page.

2. Select the Probe Group type in the upper left corner of the page.

Including PC and real machine two types. PC refers to PC Probe Group, which is Probe Group composed of fixed network Probe. The real machine refers to the real machine Probe Group, which is Probe Group formed by moving Network Probe Group.

3. Click the New/Import Probe Group button in the upper right corner of the page to enter the Create Probe Group page.

4. configure the Probe Group.

The

settings item	Description
Probe Group name	supports Chinese and English characters.
Probe Group Description (optional)	can describe the use or composition of Probe Group.
Probe type	users can choose Probe in Probe Group in 3 ways: customized Probe (access method-operator-province-city-Probe number), Probe IP, and Probe ID.
custom Probe	conditions include access method, operator, province, city, and Probe quantity. If these five conditions are set at the same time, their intersection will be used, that is, only the monitoring Probe that meets all conditions at the same time can be assigned a monitoring task. access method: Last Mile or IDC computer room dedicated line (real machine monitoring is WIFI/5G/4G/3G). operator: refers to the operator to which Probe is monitored (such as China Unicom, China Telecom...). You can choose a designated operator to form Probe Group. province: refers to the province where Probe is monitored. You can choose designated provinces to form Probe Group. city: refers to the city where Probe is monitored. You can choose the designated city to form Probe Group. Number of Probe: refers to how many tasks are issued to the Probe you selected in each round of monitoring frequency.
Probe IP	can specify Probe of certain IP addresses to form Probe Group. Enter one per line. After the input is completed, click the add button (">") to add it to the Probe list on the right.
Probe ID	can specify Probe with certain IDs to form Probe Group. Enter one per line. After the input is completed, click the to add button (">") to add it to the Probe list on the right.

5. (Optional) Import Probe Group.

There are two ways to import:

• Click Select File to import the exported Probe Group file from local.

• Click Download Template File, fill in the content according to the template, and then click Select File to import.

6. Click the Save button to complete settings.

The Probe Group list lists the monitoring Probe Group created in the system. Users can modify, delete, copy and export Probe Group in the Operation column. Click the plus icon in the Expand/Collapse column to expand the Probe information contained in Probe Group, and click again to collapse it.

Copy Probe Group

There is currently a Probe Group, and a new Probe Group needs to be quickly settings. The content of Probe will be slightly different from the previous one. At this time, you can use the copy Probe Group function.

1. On the Probe Group list page, click Copy in the Operation column of the target Probe Group.

2. The next operation is the same as creating a new Probe Group.

3. Click Save to complete the copy of Probe Group.

The new Probe Group will be displayed in the Probe Group list.

Probe Group Edit

On the Probe list page, click the Modify button, and the current Probe Group will enter the modification state. You can modify the status of the current Probe Group, including: Probe Group name, Probe Group description, Probe type selection, etc.

• This time, the synchronization to task function is newly added. Check the synchronization to task. The modified Probe Group attributes will synchronize the automatically modified attributes to the corresponding task.

Export Probe Group

On the Probe Group list page, click Export in the Operation column of the target Probe Group to export Probe Group settings in CSV format for easy modification or technical support to help you configure the Probe Group.

Delete Probe Group in batches

On the Probe Group list page, check the check boxes in front of multiple Probe Group to be deleted, and then click the Batch Delete button in the upper right corner to delete Probe Group in batches. Check the check box in front of the header to select all Probe Group.
