If the user specifies any URL to be monitored, a monitoring can be triggered immediately. To configure Instant Testing, follow the steps below.
Configure the monitoring type.
Currently, Fixed Network Monitoring supports page monitoring, file monitoring, Ping monitoring, MTR monitoring, Transaction monitoring, streaming media monitoring, and private protocol monitoring. Mobile Monitoring supports page monitoring, file monitoring, Ping monitoring, and mobile streaming media monitoring.
Configure the monitoring object.
Manually enter the URL to be monitored, or obtain the completed URL in the task from the corresponding type of monitoring task.
Advanced settings.
There are some differences in the advanced settings part for tasks of different monitoring types. Please refer to the actual product page. Each function is described as follows:
When When the MD5 value of the returned file by| settings item | Description |
| ProfilingSettings | In order to understand the Network situation of monitoring Probe, users can choose to perform Ping, Traceroute, Nslookup, screenshot, and packet capture operations on monitoring Probe and return the results together with the erroneous monitoring. You can select none or multiple selections. Once selected, the option will turn blue. |
| IP option | The settings item is a single choice.
|
| Turn on certificate monitoring | can monitor the Error of the certificate. The monitored information will be printed in the Profiling information header, including the issuer, validity period and other information of the certificate. |
| end condition | Extra Wait Time: The time to wait for delayed loading of content (for example: Flash, streaming media data...) after the page is loaded. The Default value is 0, which means no waiting. |
| custom hosts | resolves the specified domain name to a fixed IP. A domain name can specify multiple IP addresses. Multiple IP addresses are separated by commas "," in the format: IP[space]domain name, for example:
|
| Custom HTTP header | IE sends Request, the specified HTTP header information is added to the Request header. When configuring multiple custom HTTP headers are required, separate them with carriage returns. |
| Expected MD5 verification (only supported by file monitoring tasks) | is not as expected, "MD5 value is not as expected" Error will be triggered. |
| monitoring duration (only supported by mobile phone streaming monitoring tasks) | is the monitoring time of the entire streaming media monitoring task, in seconds. For HTTP FLV format streaming media, during the monitoring process, the monitoring end will first check the video time of the streaming media. For example, the video time of a 20M FLV file is 10 minutes (600 seconds). Then, the monitoring end will end monitoring after downloading one-tenth of the video, 2M (20M*60/600) data. If the network speed is relatively fast, the actual monitoring time may be less than 60 seconds. If the speed of Network is relatively slow and the monitoring time has reached 60 seconds before the 2M data is downloaded, then the monitoring end will also end the monitoring. |
| The time point when the streaming media starts playing (only supported by the mobile phone streaming media monitoring task) | The time it takes from the start of monitoring to the capture of the start of streaming media playback. |
| Streaming media playback multiple (only supported by mobile phone streaming media monitoring tasks) | refers to the setting of fast magnification for streaming media. |
Configure monitoring Probes.
Users can choose to recommend Probe Group, custom Probe Group, custom Probe (domestic), Probe ID, Probe IP or Private Probe as monitoring Probe.
Recommend Probe Group: Probe Group has been built by Tingyun Company, you cannot set by yourself. After selecting, you can check Save as customized Probe Group under the list box on the right. The recommended Probe Group will become a customized Probe Group. This option also applies to the selection of customized Probe (domestic).
Customized Probe Group: The customized Probe Group list on the left shows all customized Probe Group under this contract. To create a new Probe Group, see Create a new Probe Group.
Private Probe: that is, own Probe. Users can add and monitor Probe through the ID of their own Probe. Create a new own Probe, please refer to own point monitoring.
Check monitoring Probe DNS: Indicates whether the task can be distributed to the monitoring Probe with incorrect DNS settings. When this option is checked, only the monitoring Probe whose main DNS province or operator matches its IP will be selected. When monitoring Probe, there may be a mismatch between DNS settings and the operator it is located in. If you monitor Probe at this time, the submitted data will cause some charts (related to Host distribution) to be inaccurate. If the user does not pay attention to the distribution of Host, you can uncheck this option. The default is No, no checking.
Probe bandwidth: unit is Mbps.
Browser kernel: Only Probe that meets the specified browser type will perform the monitoring task, including Chrome, IE and Firefox. Only single selection is supported, and the default is Chrome.
Browser: Only Probe that meets the specified browser version will perform the monitoring task. Supports multiple selections.
Click the Start Monitoring button to complete Instant TestingSettings.
The monitoring task will be executed immediately. The user can click Monitoring List in the left navigation bar to enter the Instant Testing list page to view the monitoring results.
